Fowler Traction Engine

Supplied new to Mr. Dennis Sharpe of Stanford-in-the-Vale. Oxford where it spent most of its working life threshing and baling.  Purchased for preservation by the late Arthur Napper of Appleford in 1953.  The engine was named after Arthur's good friend Tommy Yeo who taught him to drive steam engines.

Arthur was considered to be the founder of the Traction Engine Rally Movement.  "Tommy" proudly attended the 50th Anniversary of the first Appleford Rally.  Tommy was sold to Simon Caudwell of Devon in 1988 and to the present owner in 1994.
