1919 Garrett Showmans Engine
"Queen of Great Britain" serial number 33486 registration number AD8787 was originally built for the War Department.  With the War over by the time of completion she was sold off in 1919.  She was purchased by Showman, William and John Cole of Bristol, who had it converted to Showman's specification by Sparrow of Matlock Glos.  John Cole worked this engine throughout the West Country Fairgrounds until she was returned to his yard at Staple Hill, Bristol in the early 1950's. Then Jimmy Miller purchased her and after a full restoration she was first rallied in the mid 1950s.
